As professionally trained technicians for both A1 Quilting Machines a division of Plank Manufacturing and CompuQuilter from S&D Stitches, Inc, we take great pride in assisting you in your adventure into the creative world of longarm quilting. Whether you want to start your own quilting business, own a quilt shop, are a serious hobbyist, or need to computerize your existing longarm, Elaine's Quilt & Stitchery can assist you. We are with you from the moment you place your order right through the installation and training. We even walk you through basic longarm quilting! We know that your success is our success.
The 2 Hour Challenge: Knowing the importance of research, Elaine's Quilt & Stitchery recommends you do your homework. Test, test, test, every longarm you can. Make sure you spend 2 to 3 hours sewing on each brand of longarm that interests you. Ask questions, keep track! Spend time actually quilting on a practice cloth with each brand. Take a class! Compile questions and ask!

Installation and Training
SET UP & TRAINING with Elaine's Quilt & Stitchery
As authorized dealers for both A1 Quilting Machines and S&D Stitches, Inc., we have proudly serviced the Eastern, Mid-Atlantic and South Eastern United States with sales, installation and service since 2002.
We are professionally trained in installation and operation of both systems and offer you the highest quality installation and training available in the longarm market today. Our installation and training is part of your purchase.
We understand the importance of not just good training but the right amount of training for you to acheive long-term quilting success. A normal installation of an A1 Elite package is 2 days. The first day is spent assembling your system along with a half day of orientation and hands-on training. The second day is devoted completely to hands-on training.
Installation and training of the CompuQuilter is completed over 3 days the first day is dedicated to retro-fitting the CompuQuilter System to your longarm. The next 2 days are hands-on training of the CompuQuilter. You will learn not just how to execute an Edge to Edge pattern but how to use ALL of your CompuQuiler features.
All systems are shipped directly from the manufacturers to you ready for us to assemble on site. You can expect us to arrive by 9:30 am daily. We normally end our workday at 5 pm.
Our goal is for you to be comfortable with the operation of your new system before we leave your training session! If you have purchased a CompuQuilter, by trainings end, you will have successfully quilted a wall-sized quilt.
Post installation and training technical assistance is always available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We look forward to a long quilting relationship with you as your longarm technicians.
Although Elaine's Quilt & Stitchery is qualified to install the CompuQuilter on the following systems; A1 Elite 923, APQS, Nolting, Ken Quilt, & Gammill our perferred system is A1 Quilting Machines.
